Is Riot Making a Netflix Series?
Since the game’s 2020 launch, Valorant has received a number of compelling cinematic trailers. Perhaps the most notable of which was ‘Duality,’ which for the first time properly showcased the conflict between two worlds from different dimensions. Ever since then, lore-hungry fans have been desperate for more similar content, something which prompted the development team to address the question in a recent ‘Ask Valorant’ blog post. While the article states that nothing is yet in the works in terms of a Valorant TV show, Valorant’s creative director, David Nottingham, certainly left the door open to it. He explained that the team has always intended to “create an expansive universe with depth of characters to support any potential future experiences that we believe players would want, including premium entertainment.“
When the Valorant TV Show Release Date Is
So it sounds as though Riot is potentially interested in taking Valorant’s cinematic universe as far as possible, but what’s the time frame? Well, Nottingham goes on to warn fans not to expect anything too soon and that the team remains focused on the game itself for now. But he does at least point to having “plenty we still want to do to keep expanding the universe in support of VALORANT the game”. That’s all there is to know about the Valorant TV show so far. Of course, we’ll be keeping track of every cinematic trailer here at Twinfinite, as well as notable lore tidbits that are released moving forward.
