The successor of Essential Phone that was already in the talk, will simply not hit the market.
The Essential Phone, from success to failure
Essential Phone arrived just over a year ago as one of the top big promises in the smartphone segment. An exemplary construction in titanium and ceramics, with the introduction of a new concept today present in almost in all the launches, the notch. But this construction was so good that it was considered a smartphone almost irreparable! Then the combination of very interesting features at the level of screen resolution, processor, photographic quality, but at a price, considered by many, high. Its success was far short of expected, with a number of units sold too low to make it worth the entire investment of the company. However, now according to the latest reports, Essential apparently is working on a second smartphone, which should take advantage of artificial intelligence to better respond to the user. The company has as CEO the father of Android, of course, Andy Rubin and can even create a form of automatic messaging. According to the American press, Essential already has the second smartphone in its development history, with the goal of using artificial intelligence to make the user less dependent on the smartphone. The AI can reply to text messages, emails and even book a hotel reservation on its own. The software will collect user data and know how to react in a similar way to the owner of the device, in order to imitate the person in the best possible way. Moreover, the tech giant Google already has a similar technology that is known as Duplex. It was introduced during this year’s Google I/O developer conference and is able to talk to a person on the phone in a natural way, without the caller touching the smartphone during the chat. The father of the Android, of course, Andy Rubin is well known and famous figure in the Android world, as he is one of the main responsible for the platform and he is known as the father of the mobile operating system before it is bought by Google as we told earlier. The greater independence of artificial intelligence recalls many fictional movies, such as 1968 classic “2001: A Space Odyssey” and “IT“, which was released in 2013 and talks about the interaction between a man and his virtual personal assistant. However, Essential is not yet scheduled to launch, as the first device was marked with distribution problems for buyers. The problems even canceled the development of the second device as, which has returned to the clipboard now. So, what do you think about this?
