The following information is firmly in spoilers territory when it comes to Thor: Love and Thunder. If you would like to enjoy the show without knowing too much, this is the time to turn back.
Who Is Gorr’s Daughter?
While she may have perished in events preceding the film, Gorr the God Butcher‘s daughter does return in the final act of Thor: Love and Thunder and plays a prominent role in changing Gorr’s mind. An actual name was never stated, but she is referred to as Love, a character that only exists in the MCU outside of the comics. Entrusting Love to the care of Thor, Gorr then dies in a kind of redemption arc for the God Butcher. And in the end, we see both Thor and his now adopted daughter, Love, heading into battle, which is probably why the film is named Thor: Love and Thunder.
Did Gorr Have a Daughter in the Comics?
Indeed, Gorr did have a daughter and a full family in the comics, however, it is not her death that pushed him over the edge. Instead, it is the death of his son, Agar, that tilts the needle. The very son Gorr revives using the Necrosword eventually betrays him, and helps Thor to bring Gorr to his demise. And there you have it, now you know the name of Gorr’s daughter in Thor: Love and Thunder.
